Caminito, La Boca

A quick glance at Caminito, La Boca, Buenos Aires. YouTube really compressed the heck out of it.

Buenos tardes de Buenos Aires

Best moment so far: Finding a cafe that had an English speaking person. I really did not think I would have to rely so heavily on the very, very few words of Spanish that I know. The neighborhood I am staying in is outside of the city, Martinez, and really no one speaks English here. I fumbled my way through a pedicure and manicure this morning, and then wasn't able to get the massage I had scheduled because no one could understand me, and I could not convince them I had an appointment. I have, however, learned more Spanish in one day than in my entire life. By the time I leave maybe I can order some food on my own. Everything here is extremely European (except very inexpensive), and aside from the blue and white stripes of the Argentine flag and enthusiasm for the Argentine Futball team (everyone is still very upset about the loss, and still talk about it -- or so I hear), I would not imagine I was in South America, rather Spain. I've been taking a lot of photos, hopefully I can upload them in a few days, as I am unable to connect my own computer to the internet here where I am staying. Worst moment: 1.Getting in a car accident five minutes outside of the airport. 2. Having one of my bags completely destroyed, along with most of the contents. My new Holga has a broken lens, all the focus functionality is gone, but perhaps it might add a bit of ambience to the images -- if it can still take them.

Labor Day

I apologize that this video has only darkness and fuzz. Friends gather in Pt Reyes to celebrate with a little music.

My mood tells me everything
needs more white space.

Most everything is broken here, and if I don't intend on fixing it, I'll probably just delete it or turn the functionality off. Don't expect anything fancy at Command Zed dot com, unless you like random imagery. I'll be traveling over the next couple of weeks and that is kind of why I decided to breathe a slight bit of life into the ole girl, so I can share an experience or two along the way.
