Coalesce, originally uploaded by Zarayy.

Coalesce lives a little. I've reached a milestone, and for a non-type designer designing type, this day, indeed is a significant one. I have just finished my 26th character, finished as in, I have the forms somewhat solidified until furthur testing proves otherwise. It has been roughly an hour since it's completion and already I want to change everything. Issue numero uno: This project is based on ligatures, I seem to remember being out to prove something (oh yeh!). There are no ligatures. I was about to list a few more issues (like spacing, spacing and spacing) then realized those issues are nothing but complaints and unattractive whining. Before I ramble into some tall tale about mice eating bezier handles, I should get some sleep.

S will be changing, don't you worry. So might the g, the z and the rest of the alphabet.

Nice work, Zara... ya can’t keep calling yerself a “non-type designer” now!

Congratulations and keep up the good work... I really like your take on blackletter!

Thanks Ricardo! This has been and still is, a very intimidating discipline for me. However, I feel a great sense of accomplishment with this project, that I now desire to draw up some more type!

hmm Z, I'd keep the 's' as an alternate character. I quite like that snorkeling swash on the top.
