A Peek at Coalesce
I'm deeply saddened to report the potential loss of my dear friend, iPod. Only 7 months old*, it's battery, the revolutionary little brick of lithium ion ladened with fatal flaws which Apple is finally 'fessing up to and addressing in the new upgrades is now providing me with approximately one hour of life, if I'm lucky. I recommend that all ya'lls wit' da iPod accessory, go get learned in the ways of charge and discharge cycles (did you know there is a maximum number of recharges?), and the importance of making just the right playlist so that you don't ever have to fast forward, cause ya know, that kills battery life.
*Note: Defective batteries are covered under the one year warranty, but because this pod is a replacement of the first defective pod, the warranty is outofdate. Next time I'll try not to be such a cheapass and purchase the extended warranty.
In other news, I have a little project in the works and without revealing too many specifics I'd like to show a little of what is to come.

Fear not my friend. Just google for ipod battery replacement and you'll find a number of companies happy to handle this for you.
I'm really liking the way this is looking - that third character in the bottom row is really got something good goin' on, if you get me . . .
A few of the characteristics shown in this image will be changing. They look lovely at large sizes, especially when isolated, though once taken to smaller sizes and placed next to other letters it becomes quite obvious that some of the more dominating elements need to be altered. That 'q' at the bottom is a perfect example – looks great on its own, though its strokes really aren't consistant with the rest of the alphabet.
This type design stuff is very tricky.
very tricky, yes, but ever so satisfying when things finally start to come together.
hang in there, z.! it’s lookin’ good!
