This is HI-larious. It may have made its rounds already on this great big web of ours, but watch it anyways.

My day of relaxation was destroyed by rainfall, and pms. I have been angry all morning/day – at what? I don't know. The world is against me, my life sucks, etc, etc. My hat is still soaking wet and dripping water onto my keys. My coffee is too hot to drink and I am upset that the postal woman didn't come to drop off a package while I was at home. I must go to the gym, but I feel guilty about not doing work, though if I don't go, I will feel guilty about that too. I will most likely not get to wear my favourite pants for the rest of the week, because I know I will be too bloated to do so. Ok, gym it is.
My options for the evening are, a: go to see my friend's funny band, Canned Hamm; or b: knit to live classical music for free with a bunch of women, who could very well be in the same shape as me. Uh, pass. On both actually. When I am this irritable I try to make it a rule that I cannot leave the house, or more importantly interract with others socially. Chances are I will bring them all down to my miserable level. Though all you boys will never have any idea what this misery actually is like.

So I am not much in the mood for writing about anything that I am sure you would all find terribly exciting – I'm tired as hell, so I will just give you a few links to check out, thanks to the fine folks at Memepool.com for the bulk of them.
• I am quite proud to tell people of my native state , Oregon, though I am a little worried when I see things like this happening there. They freak me out.
•Yet, another, might I say, well edited video about dear mr president. This one is worth the wait.
•If you can't afford that singing telegram you wanted to get your pal for xmas or, well Thanksgiving (i forget about that holiday cause canada hates turkeys), then be a chump, or a cool chump and e-mail them a retarded little automated singing, er, messenger.
•OH, I shan't forget the one about poop. (which brings up this cool presentation givin by classmates from industrial design tonight, it was all about brainstorming and idea generation – we went through a little brainstorming drill coming up with ideas for a "poop managment system for dogs." Quite interesting and full of funny, yet seemingly brilliant ideas, like robots with lasers that disentegrate the poop in an instant… supplements that place magnetic particles into the poop so that you can use the handy magnetized poop technique… even a freeze-drying system that would work in an instant, even before it is done coming out of the dog! – yeh.)
ok I am done here.

My favorite part of this whole Micheal Jackson scandal.
The smell of Balsamic vinegar makes the inside of my nose itch.
It is quite strange looking outside at 3:30pm and not seeing much daylight. The sky is covering itself up with a blanket of snow-filled clouds, only letting a few flakes escape every couple of hours. Maybe the clouds are saving up for one big hoorah of snow-falling joy. The surrounding mountains are completely covered now, it is so lovely to see them early in the morning when the sun shines onto them, creating this enormous winter-wonderland that looks slightly painted on. This is the only time, the morning sun, and the evening sun, when I like Vancouver architecture. The sunset especially, creates a gorgeous glow when reflecting off of the downtown core; the glass mirroring the incredible landscapes and showing off nature's color palette. I suppose that is why this type of building is so common in this city – Mies van der Rohe used the floor to ceiling glass windows in his skyscrapers, to reflect the colors and shapes of surrounding landscapes, and too allow the occupants to see these things from the inside. Bringing nature to the office-workers and residents, so they wouldn't have to leave the comfort of their Herman Miller Aeron chairs to see a little bit of foliage. Ok, so Herman Miller wasn't around back then, but whatever.
I have decided that I need a break from the ole puter, so I am going to do some illustrations and collaging for a while – I am changing the direction of a couple of projects, simply because I am tired of looking at the screen. It is time to set my brain on analog and use a bit of simple hand-crafting to create designs. Then why, you ask, am I sitting here in front of a monitor now? Well, I might freak out if I don't get at least small doses of the digital world from time to time. It is like a bad drug addiction, if I don't get my fix, I am going to have a difficult time coming down off the high, now I wouldn't want that to happen would I?
Please do check out a little, well, huge project I am currently working on. This one is completely digital and is under heavy criticism at Typophile. It is due this coming Tuesday, along with a mocked up book and book cover, (which SHHH don't tell I haven't really started yet) – but the guts are almost complete. It has been a long process, belive it or not, to re-design this screenplay for Brazil. Go to the link at the beginning of this paragraph to view details and read the remarks by professional typographers and type designers, it is really quite interesting.
Jeebus, what a long post.

Dammit, no! I sat watching in horror as they ganged up on him, the one they so dearly loved and relied on. He was the provider, the caretaker, the strength and the heart behind them all. They betrayed his trust and now he is sad and I am, also, sad. Rupert was kicked off the island tonight, his flame snuffed, left filled with disappointment at the end of his long hard journey. Should I keep watching Survivor? Shall I watch in horror as the rest of the tribe crumbles like mouthfuls of coffee cake? Well, DUH, yes of course!
Like information graphics? You will love this – if you are like me you study these for hours on end, staring into the monitor in awe, drooling all over the keyboard.

I have been unwillingly negelecting my duties as a loyal web-surfer and blog-poster recently, I apologize my brain is currently being occupied by forces which are striving for useful, applicable knowledge and forcing me to think outside the box. Read my friend's blog for proof of my claim.

Yeh, I found a new blog to read, and a good one! Make sure to read this little gem while you are there.
Oh yeh and yet another great blog! I love wasting time on-line; oh… damn, gosh… another!
Oh goodness no.

The supporters of the industrial revolution would be damned proud to see this.
I have been really slacking in the weblog department, spending most of my time now sitting in front of a variety of computers, laying on couches in the sunshine and taking public transit to and fro. It is now that time of year when my classmates and I establish little "faux–temporary housing" in the design studio at school. And by golly, gee, if the bus/train combo isn't the biggest energy-burning, time-wasting past time – then call me Frank (what?). About 30% of my day is dedicated to getting from point a to point b. Time to invest in those winter tires so I can get over my little ice fear, plus my whole exercise routine is squashed. I am really in one of those rambling moods; this song just came on that I haven't heard in ages, you know when you listen to something from your past and all of a sudden to begin to have a bit of a deja vu? Kind of like in that Stream of Consciousness video by Armin Vit. During the design process our minds tends to wander into all these areas that are quite random and unexpected and rarely focus directly on the problem at hand. For instance recalling a song that you can't remember the name or the melody of. If you have been paying attention I actually posted this link already, about two weeks ago, sorry. Maybe I should start paying attention and stop doing so much of what most BC residents tend to like doing, often.

*Aaahhhhhh* I just went mad on a little project and I feel so good having released all that creative energy. I bought a mannequin today, well the lower half of a female mannequin. It was $3.00 at a yard sale, I had to have it. I have been wanting mannequin parts for a very long time. Using a massive stack of Chinese paper used in rituals (beautiful stuff) that I also purchased over the weekend, I covered the entire piece. It is just lovely and I will post some photos tomorrow so you all can gawk over my beautiful handiwork. It truly makes me feel cool to have such a mannquin at this level of lovely.
My friend Heidi was here on holiday over the weekend. A great thing about having friends come visit is when I get to re–discover the city that I live in. I had forgotten about so much of what goes on here, and had turned a blind eye to the beauty of it all. We walked around the city a couple of times, making sure to hit all the coolest areas with the most to see, Chinatown, Gastown, English Bay, the Drive, etc. Of course I had to take her to Skidrow, aka E. Hastings & Main, aka crackhead central. Great food was consumed and we took lots of photos as well, I should be posting them shortly. Ok, I must rest after my long weekend of stimulation and a few hours of mannequin decorating. Oh, this guy is totally awesome maan.

Neat animations created using type – Not My Type.
It is quickly turning into winter, the daily attire requires a snuggly hat and scarf combo, warm gloves are a must. A nice wool turtleneck sweater is optional, but always an essential piece of my winter outfits. My bicycle paranoia has set in, now that the streets are infected by slick, icy surfaces. I don't want a repeat performance of last years bicycle/ice mishap when I received a facial injury that still bothers me, even a year later. I am going to have to train myself to wake up much earlier now so that I can catch the bus and train and actually get to school on time. A difficult task when relying on publc transit.

Every wednesday morning, the plan is the same; go to the US consolate, get my passport. Never does it happen! This morning I was dreaming about this scary guy whom I saw on television last night, an Ultimate Fighting Champion. I remember in the dream I kept screaming at the top of my lungs because this man was touching me and he was wearing a spandex unitard. Wednesday mornings are really the only opportunity that I have to get to the consulate's office, they are open 8am to 12pm, highly inconvenient for me. I [think] I lost my passport well over a year ago, more like two years ago on a trip to Seattle. I didn't realize I had lost it till about a year later when I moved to Canada. So I have been carrying around the only copy of my birth certificate as a means of official citizenship documentation, though I fear I will one day lose that as well. I am also hearing that US immigration is getting tougher in identification when entering the country, so I should get this information sorted out before I try to enter the states one day and find they won't let me in for lack of a real passport.
I really am the worst procrastinator ever, "Oh I will go tomorrow." "It can wait till next wednesday." "It is OK that I sleep in a couple more hours so I can dream about ugly fighting men, my responsibilities as an adult and student can wait till after the dream is over." I was supposed to go to the gym an hour ago, but no, getting online and writing in my web log is far more important than my health.

Finally, I got my lazy butt into gear and fixed my archives. You now have the pleasure of reading all of my babbling from the last few months, lucky you! Maybe, just maybe I will get rid of that slash up there in the upper left corner.
I learn something new everyday.
I learn something new everyday.
This seems to be the hot site of the moment, everyone is posting this on their weblogs. I am going to follow the trend and do the same, it is worth a look. A new form of communication is upon us! Let's get rid of talking and making signals and signs with our hands, or even our faces! Lets use our trousers!!

I need some of those nifty lil' eyelid clips attached to a crutch or pulley of some sort, so that I can read the rest of my daily web logs and view some more gooshy cuteness. (Just a little more) I'm going to try and get through one more article, then I will crawl into my warm bed and hopefully not have nightmares.
By they way, check out my Hallowe'en photos!
